Sandy Cioffi: on Justifying Film Education

Fifty states are united in facing severe budget cuts. Washington State faces many fiscal challenges that now trickle down to the institutions they help support; among them Seattle Central Community College which has decided to make ends meet by bringing an end to one of its most beloved and successful components, its 2-year Film & Video Communications program.

Today, SCCC instructor and award-winning documentarian Sandy Cioffi (SWEET CRUDE) joins Warren Etheredge at The High Barto debate the viability and necessity of funding this individual program while raising a toast to and raising the bar for… justifying film education.
